Bands - Past & Present Sandra is a singer/songwriter who enjoys the challenge of writing. Some of the more entertaining challenges the she has been faced with involved a four piece all original jazz fusion band 'Shadoplay' with whom she performed as a vocalist for four years. The musicians usually titled the pieces before she added the lyrics. Titles like 'Sandstone City' and 'Skirts' were particularly challenging. For 10 years, Sandra enjoyed playing with a five (sometimes six or more) piece party band currently performing as 'This Side Up'. She has been honored to perform with bands and performers including 'The Deputies', 'The Gannon Brothers', 'Freeway', 'Royce Proctor' and 'Lewis Frere'. She has performed and competed at school music festivals on both piano and saxophone. She is also a member of the International Society of Poets. Sandra is currently gigging with a four-piece cover band named Quicksilver.
